The duties for the 1st Shift Senior Software Applications Engineer  include: 

  • Become part of a development team that develops software dedicated to the design and manufacturing of composite structures for a variety of application including, but not limited to, aerospace vehicles

  • Lead the design, analysis, programming, debugging, and modification of software for composite applications

  • Lead investigations on application engineering tasks and prepare design specifications, analysis, and recommendations

  • Mentor junior level application engineers on best practices for software development

  • Support the manufacturing process integration, for composite parts

  • Provide Customer support for software deployment and maintenance

  • Ensure products and services provided by the company meet the highest standards

  • Become very knowledgeable of the entire Hardware & Software infrastructure for automated machine tools and robotics equipment

  • Working closely with other departments to meet the division`s goals

  • Meet deadlines and company goals

  • Demonstrate Continuous improvement philosophy

The requirements for this position are the following:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Ability to work on several complex tasks in parallel

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible work attitude and excellent team player

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a valid green card

  • 7-10 years experience in Software Development primarily with C++

  • Experience leading software design and programming efforts

  • Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Experience in customer support for Software Applications

  • Experience with large custom industrial machinery is strongly preferred

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Alternatively: BS/MS/PhD degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with sufficient experience in a software development environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual studio required

  • Microsoft Windows based developement environment

  • Source Control Systemes or Unix, CAD Systems including CATIAV5, MS Office

  • ENGLISH MUST BE SPOKEN READ UNDERSTOOD AND WRITTEN
