The duties for the 1st Shift Senior Software Applications Engineer include:
- Become part of a development team that develops software dedicated to the design and manufacturing of composite structures for a variety of application including, but not limited to, aerospace vehicles
- Lead the design, analysis, programming, debugging, and modification of software for composite applications
- Lead investigations on application engineering tasks and prepare design specifications, analysis, and recommendations
- Mentor junior level application engineers on best practices for software development
- Support the manufacturing process integration, for composite parts
- Provide Customer support for software deployment and maintenance
- Ensure products and services provided by the company meet the highest standards
- Become very knowledgeable of the entire Hardware & Software infrastructure for automated machine tools and robotics equipment
- Working closely with other departments to meet the division`s goals
- Meet deadlines and company goals
- Demonstrate Continuous improvement philosophy
The requirements for this position are the following:
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Ability to work on several complex tasks in parallel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible work attitude and excellent team player
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a valid green card
- 7-10 years experience in Software Development primarily with C++
- Experience leading software design and programming efforts
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in customer support for Software Applications
- Experience with large custom industrial machinery is strongly preferred
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Alternatively: BS/MS/PhD degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with sufficient experience in a software development environment
- Experience with Microsoft Visual studio required
- Microsoft Windows based developement environment
- Source Control Systemes or Unix, CAD Systems including CATIAV5, MS Office
